Prishtine, 17.01.2019 Misioni i OSBE-së filloi raportin “Strehimoret për Viktimat e Dhunës në Familje në Kosovë”.
Raporti analizon kuadrin ligjor dhe institucional që rregullon tetë strehëzat për viktimat e dhunës në familje, skemën aktuale të financimit, zhvillimin e stafit, shërbimet që u ofrojnë viktimave dhe mekanizmave komunalë për mbrojtjen nga dhuna në familje.
Ajo identifikon sfidat kryesore me të cilat ballafaqohen strehimoret, si financimi i qëndrueshëm. Po ashtu thekson nevojën për mundësi trajnimi për stafin e strehëzave, auditime publike transparente, zgjidhje alternative për licencimin e stafit që marrin kredencialet e tyre jashtë Kosovës dhe bashkëpunimin e përmirësuar ndërmjet komunave.
Raporti gjithashtu propozon rekomandime për të gjitha institucionet që janë pjesë e mekanizmave për mbrojtjen e viktimave të dhunës në familje dhe për drejtorët e strehimit.

Prishtina, 17.01.2019, the OSCE Mission launched the report “Shelters for Victims of Domestic Violence in Kosovo.”
The report analyses the legal and institutional framework regulating the eight shelters for victims of domestic violence, their current funding scheme, staff development, services they provide to victims and municipal mechanisms on protection from domestic violence.
It identifies main challenges shelters face, such as sustainable funding. It also points out the need for training opportunities for shelters’ staff, transparent public audits, alternative solutions for licencing of staff who receive their credentials outside Kosovo, and enhanced co-operation between the municipalities.
The report also proposes recommendations for all institutions that are part of mechanisms for protection of victims of domestic violence, and for shelter directors.
