24.09.2021- Meeting with health workers and social workers at the Women Wellness Center

Sexual violence is widespread, yet relatively few survivors report and receive healthcare or complete treatment. In our community, health workers have the potential to provide support services to large numbers of survivors. The aim of this meeting was to review the role of health workers in supporting victims of sexual violence. We aimed to:

1) describe existing models of services including characteristics of services delivered and populations served;

2) explore acceptability of services to survivors, and feasibility of delivering such services; and

3) document the benefits and challenges of providing specialist services in cases of sexual violence.

Dhuna seksuale është e përhapur, por relativisht pak të mbijetuara raportojne dhe  marrin kujdes shëndetësor ose trajtim të plotë. Punonjësit e shëndetesor  kanë potencialin për të ofruar shërbime mbështetëse për një numër të madh të të mbijetuarve. Qëllimi i këtij  takimi eshte rishikimi dhe  roli  punetreve shendetsore per te ofruar sherbime per viktimat e dhunës seksuale. Ne synuam që:

 1) të përshkruajmë modelet ekzistuese të shërbimeve të duke përfshirë karakteristikat per shërbimet e ofruara dhe popullsinë e shërbyer;

2) të eksplorojë pranueshmërinë e shërbimeve për të mbijetuarit dhe mundësinë e dhënies së shërbimeve të tilla; dhe

3) dokumentojnë përfitimet dhe sfidat e shërbimeve të dhunës seksuale
